Make a habit of communicating with your parents on a routine basis. Every Friday I send home a note that informs parents of what is happening the following week. This weekly parent communication is a MUST HAVE with my class. I have been using it for years. It’s SUPER easy, fast and effective.

I LOVE things that are time savers and super tools!

I include any special note that all parents should know about. (Or a thank you after a special occasion, an overall reminder, etc.) I also indicate their child’s overall behavior for the week.

If necessary, I will write a full note on a particular child’s Friday Note. Parents know to look for this weekly note. I send one home even if I have a sub on a Friday – I make sure it is done on Thursday and in their cubbies.

 

 

To ensure parents look at the Friday Note, I staple all of the important papers for the week to it. So any assessments, notes from the school, report cards, etc… get stapled to that Friday note. I will hold on to papers until Friday just for that reason.

This Friday Note is editable in Adobe Reader. The dates will auto-fill. The text you add can be the font style, color and size of your choosing. It’s super easy to use!
