Vanilla Sherbet Classroom Decor

Peeps! I’m so excited about my new classroom essentials resource, Vanilla Sherbet classroom decor! After many, many years of the same color scheme, I decided it was time for a change.

Because my classroom, with its 30 little inhabitants and all the furniture and materials that comes with that, is feeling cramped, I changed to mostly white and bright colors, as opposed to black with bold colors.

The inspiration came from this little dessert place called Frostbites. They have the most yummy and gorgeous treats made from frozen vanilla custard and the most amazingly brightly colored and delicious icee like sherbet. When my husband and I venture out to grab one of these fantastic treats, I am thrilled just looking at its beauty!

Seriously, who doesn’t want to be surrounded by happiness everyday?!

So with that inspiration and a thirst for change, the vanilla sherbet line was born.

Vanilla Sherbet Classroom Decor

This bundled resource is HUGE and overflowing with décor and essential components for your classroom. The BRIGHT Vanilla Sherbet motif is inviting, kid friendly, clean, crisp and bright.

Alphabet and Phonics Cards

Like the alphabet and phonics cards in my other color options from the previously released classroom essentials series, these cards are beautiful, engaging and resourceful.

Alphabet & Phonics Cards - Vanilla Sherbet

Effective

The Alphabet and Phonics Cards are a tool for student learning and phonics mastery. Each card is clear, demonstrates proper letter formation, has a gorgeous graphic visual, and displays all phonic rules that make that particular sound.

These alphabet and phonics cards assist students with reading and writing.

Phonemes

Alphabet and Phonics Cards are more than just the alphabet. In all, there are 45 cards! Most importantly, these cards cover all of the phonic rules in K-2 classrooms including long vowels, vowel pairs and irregular spellings. They are a fabulous reference tool.

Chants and rhymes for each card are included in the resource, too!

Vanilla Sherbet Classroom Decor – Classroom Essentials

Fill your classroom walls, engage your kiddos and provide important reference resources with even more yumminess! This is my largest classroom essentials resource yet! I’ve included everything I use in my classroom plus some extra options.

Numbers & More Numbers!

The Vanilla Sherbet line of Classroom Essentials contains over 115 pages of elements for your classroom. There are so many options to create a vanilla sherbet wonderland in your classroom!  There are TONS of number choices, including an adorable, interactive and bright number line, table markers and interactive number words with subitzing reference. These number cards, with the exception of the number word/subitizing cards, are also in the included EDITABLE FILE.

You guys! I’m obsessed with the number line! It was the first thing I changed and I fell instantly in love!!

Focus Wall Icon Cards

My focus wall is a key reference point in the room. I don’t like the headers to take up a lot of room. However, it is important to use them and have them easily identifiable. These eye-catching pops of color are like candy on the wall!

Management Tools

Keep your posted schedules, task reminders, and calendar materials cheery, clean and bright! In the top left and bottom right are the independent work schedule cards (2 style options). I post these during my kiddos’ independent work (I work with reading groups/guided reading during this time).

I move them over to the center board as use them like this:

There are two different versions in the resource with a whole lot of different activity cards. This resource also comes with an EDITABLE FILE so you can make your own!

All About Me – Responsible & Adjectives Activities

In the top left hand side of the management tools image is a daily schedule. This comes with a variety of cards that you can move into place. I put adhesive magnets on the back of my strips and simply write the time beside the activities as I place them on the whiteboard. This too, comes with an EDITABLE component.

The calendar pieces in the center include 31 days and MANY even cards. There are large and small day and month cards, too!

Labeling

There are many labeling options within this resource! Label your cubbies, maintain a classroom job chart, organize your books and manipulatives ! Again there are a variety of choices and an EDITABLE FILE.It also includes a word wall alphabet to keep everything cohesive!

I was directed to your page/website because of the dragonflies. Do you have a dragonfly classroom decor set. This is the first year I will be teaching first grade coming from fifth grade. Please let me know. I love dragonflies.

      Hi Sulema,
While I do have a dragonfly theme in my classroom – that’s why my blog used to be called Dragonflies in First, I never used dragonflies in any of my resources or paper decorations. That’s a pretty tiny niche and very difficult to find. My room used to be filled with the Bright & Bold Classroom Essentials Decor and now is filled with the Vanilla Sherbet Decor discussed here. I use dragonflies on a few things in my room and collect cute knick knack dragonflies when I can find them. I’m sorry I can’t direct you to more dragonfly things.
