“I Have” Morning Wake Up!

I like “I Have – Who Has” games. In fact I have a free one for short vowels in my store! It’s a fun way to learn about all kinds of concepts!

The Freebielicious girls have decided to play the I Have Who Has game with a few of our recourses. Tammy’s post gave you a hint about what “I Have” in this little game.

Peeps, I truly do LOVE . . .

Sadly it has only happened for a few brief moments here this summer. Unfortunately this drought is ruling our summer.

Ocean breezes, crashing waves and sand under my toes is my other love. Nothing more uplifting to me than the beach!

The other thing “I Have” and love is Morning Wake Up.

My team has used the first grade version of Morning Wake Up for morning work for many, many years. The resource is one of those “MUST DO” items in our weekly planning. It is how we begin each and every day! It has done a ton to help our students master both ELA and Math concepts. We have been so thrilled with the impact it has had in their learning and their confidence in various skills.

Using Morning Work Up daily definitely leads to standard and skills mastery. This morning work is consistent in format and expectation, yet grows in depth and complexity throughout the school year. It is also great for independent work any time of the day, guided reading group work, even homework!

This constant practice each morning helps build student confidence, too. We grade it together to ensure they are “getting” the most out of each task. The kids work hard to “prove why” their answers are correct. I simply love it!

Morning Wake Up and all of my other resources will be on sale Monday & Tuesday, too!

Ok… on with the game!
