Fun Without Me? HOW? … and a little Winter Wonderland
I had planned to share my field trip photos with you. But I can’t
I didn’t go.
In the gobzillion years that I’ve been teaching, I’ve never missed a field trip.
But there is a first for everything.
The Mr. to my Mrs. was very, very sick peeps. It started suddenly on Monday morning in the wee hours before the sun even wakes up – and to be honest, before I went to bed because something in me thinks it’s a good idea to stay up literally ALL NIGHT when I don’t have to be at work the next day. Last minute sick. Out of nowhere sick. ER + 2 nights in the hospital sick. Mega pain sick. Urgent surgery sick. So we spent far too much time within hospital and doctor office walls this week.
Although he now looks a bit like Frankenstein’s monster with gashes and staples, he’s doing great and all is well. But it was scary. And yucky. And exhausting.
Enough said. You understand.
Anyhoo… my kids went to that fantastic field trip I told you about with a sub and still had a wonderful time without me.
I don’t know either. But apparently all was fabulous.
Life goes on teacher peeps. Life goes on.
Between the naps in hospital chairs and well, wherever I could, I was able to get my report cards finished. Today it looks like we are all back to normal now. Normal is good. Rare at times, but good! 😛
I was also able to finish up my new winter pack.
