I have a lot in store for my kiddos this week as we study patriotism. Find out more about that here.
But first . . .
We do! Our city has a huge rural area. It’s mandated that it stays that way. It’s pretty cool. The lot beside our school is in the care of goats!
They keep the weeds and grass under control.
Trim the lower limbs of the trees.
It keeps them happy.
It keeps the lot neat and clean.
A big truck comes and picks them up and moves them to various areas that need “grooming”. They do a little circuit. After a while, they’ll be back beside our playground.
The kids love it. They come back from recess with all sorts of goat stories. When I was taking these pictures the kiddos were telling me the names of the goats. They’ve named them! Who could resist? They are pretty adorable.
What a great way to keep nature in check, huh?
Patriotism and President’s Day
I added a few things to my Patriotism and President’s Day Resource. One of the items I’ve added is this anchor chart. I also added a couple of bulletin board headers. If you’ve already purchased it, please go back and re-download it.
